Can Aether Engine generate an image or animation for me?
No. Aether Engine processes source art that already exists. Use an image or video tool to create the source material, then use Aether Engine for frame preparation, background cleanup, alignment, preview, and export.

What is the recommended Aether Engine workflow?
Start with an animation created elsewhere, prepare it in Video Sprite Prep by extracting and selecting frames, remove a green-screen or other background when needed, choose a uniform cell size, build the sheet, and send it to Sprite Centerer. Centerer aligns the frames and exports a transparent PNG ready for engines such as Godot, Unity, Phaser, or GameMaker.
What does Aether Engine do?
Aether Engine is a web-based sprite sheet pipeline for pixel artists and 2D game developers. It turns source video, images, or sprite sheets into grid-aligned, anchor-consistent, game-engine-ready assets. It does not generate still images or animation.
Can I compare adjacent frames while aligning a sprite?
Yes. Sprite Centerer has an onion-skin preview that shows the immediate previous and next frames as translucent tinted ghosts. It is preview-only and never changes the exported sprite sheet. At a sequence endpoint, the unavailable direction is automatically normalized to the available neighbor.
Why does my sprite animation wobble between frames?
The visible character is often in a slightly different horizontal or vertical position in each frame. This frame-to-frame anchor drift makes an animation wobble even when the individual drawings are good. Aether Engine detects visible bounds and aligns frames to a shared center and ground line.
Can I import my existing sprite sheets?
Aether Engine works with standard PNG sprite sheets on fixed grids, preserving transparency and pixel-perfect edges through drift correction, rearrangement, and optimization operations.
